Note that while these are great ancients to have and extremely important to keep at the right levels, they shouldn't be your first picks. Iris, by saving time spent instakilling through bosses with low primal souls, ends up giving a much bigger overall increase to souls/hour. Atman and Kuma double souls/hour as soon as you can max them - Atman by doubling primals, Kuma by halving time spent instakilling in runs (Kuma is the cheapest doubling of souls/hour in the game). Despite being painfully slow to level, Solomon is the single biggest uncapped increase in the game, and arguably the most important to keep at an efficient level. These four ancients directly increase the most important thing in CH, souls per hour efficiency. For example, while tier 1 ancients are the most helpful once you start making good progress, the tier 2 ancients are better to get first in the early game, as you'll read in the linked guide. While you roughly want to buy down the list, that guide will better inform you, since the recommended buying order tends to skip around a bit. Note: this isn't an order to buy ancients, it's more of a comparison of how the different ancients stack up with each other in the mid-late game. This post's list will follow the same format as the old one. I might have gotten everything completely wrong, so I'm definitely open to suggestions. So, I've noticed the old tier listing for ancients is pretty outdated/inaccurate IMO, so I've tried to put together a new one.
